Essex County Championships & National Qualifiers

Essex Championships / National Qualifiers

The Essex Championships are held annually, with trophies presented to the winners and runners-up at our annual presentation ceremony.

All Essex bowlers are welcome and encouraged to enter, provided you are registered with the County and the ESMBA. If you are not currently registered but would like to enter, please speak to the secretary of your club, who will be able to advise you.

Please don’t feel that you are not good enough to enter! The standard of bowling can vary, and over the years we have seen some fantastic performances, unexpected results and plenty of surprises. You never know what can happen on the day!

Age is not an issue. If you bowl and are registered with the County and ESMBA, you are eligible to enter.

The Essex Championship winners will go on to represent Essex at the National Championships. The number of places available at the National Championships will depend on the number of entries received for the Essex Championships, with up to a maximum of four places available.

So, if you are eligible, why not give it a go? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain — and you could find yourself representing Essex at the National Championships
