Results - Sammy Lambert Charity Triples

On Sunday 13th September, the annual Sammy Lambert Charity Triples competition was held at East Hanningfield Village Hall. The organisation of the event was run by its members on behalf of the Essex County Short Mat Bowls Association, the event proved to be another great success,

A total of 16 teams of triples took part, split into two groups. The overall winners were determined by the highest aggregate score across both groups.

Various raffles and football cards were held throughout the day, while meals and cakes were also available helping to create a wonderful atmosphere and support for this worthy charity event. On the day, the event raised approximately £1,392, with the final total expected to be nearer £1,500, all proceeds will be donated to Marie Curie.

Well done and huge thank you to all the bowlers on the day for making this charity event such a success, Special thanks go to all the helpers and Sammy’s daughters, who presented the Sammy Lambert Trophy to the winners, with trophies also presented to the runners-up.
