Division One

Woodlands started the week with a bang taking 2 points from Springhouse to bring the rest of the division back into play! Island however could not take advantage as they lose all 5 points to a good Ramsden side winning at home! four days later Island do get their 5 points at home to Hadleigh and move back to 2nd place. Falcon do take advantage and win 5-0 at home against woodlands with a big win to help with the shot difference... Then willows almost double their score getting a mat and the bonus at home to Ramsden, keeping them still alive and with their games in hand can still climb off the bottom!

Warren did not play

Springhouse are now 10 points clear at the top but if Falcon win games in hand they will only be 6 points behind them. Still in Springhouses hands to win the title!

Falcon vs Hadleigh still waiting for the result.

Division Two

Ramsden start off the new year with win over close rivals Sanguine 5-0 winning both mats by 5 shots.... Whitehall then keep themselves in the hunt for 2nd spot as they draw 2-2 with OCBC negating the bonus point. SBC North and East must play each other in the first round of the new year and SBC North come up trumps again as they get 4 points to continue their great form this season...  SBC East then play two days later against Whitehall and pick up a big 5-0 win to turn the division on its head yet again! Whitehall missing the chance to up into 3rd and put the pressure on the rest.  2nd vs 3rd next as OCBC get a 3-2 win against SBC North and sharing points again this season. Sanguine succumb to another 5-0 defeat this time at the hands of East Hanningfield who just keep winning...

Wickford did not play

East Hanningfield still with Maximum Points!

EH look set to win the division with a three horse race for 2nd between OCBC, SBC North and Ramsden. Down the bottom there is now only 5 points separating the bottom 5 places and the bottom four could all be in trouble!

Division Three

SWF get a big win from the league leaders Hadleigh keeping them in touching distance of top spot and promotion. Canvey take advantage and then go top with a 5-0 convincing win against Hannakins who now seem to be drifting away. Struggling Courage get 3 points at home against a well oiled Heron park team, can they continue that form!! Whitehall then pick up the bonus point at home to SWF surely doing enough now to avoid relegation... Hannakins who were drifting down make sure they do not get caught up in a relegation battle after beating courage 5-0 at home. Heron park then upset the apple cart by beating Canvey Blue at home making them contenders for the league too now, and leaving Canvey in 2nd place with a game in hand. Falcon looks like they are need a miracle to get out the bottom two after losing to top of the division Hadleigh. Courage only turn up with one team against SWF and get thumped. if Falcon need a miracle then Courage need two! The miracle did not come for Falcon as they went away to Whitehall in a rearranged game and got beat 16-31, moving Whitehall into a safe secure place now.

Canvey and Heron Park both have games in hand against Falcon which if they both win will mean there is 5 point separating the top 4 places. Hannakins and Whitehall are not out the chase yet but need a good run to do it. However Falcon and Courage look like they will be in division 4 next season with a bad run of form from both teams.

Division Four

SBC West get the start they wanted and beat GPM eagles 5-0 with a tight game on one mat 14-13. Whitehall must play each other in the first game back and its the Bees that beat the stingers 5-0 leapfrogging them in the league. Basildon win a crucial game against CIFC Swans to go clear of them at the top. But then drop points away from home to bottom of the table GPM eagles giving them all hope! 2nd vs 3rd in the last game and CIFC Swans edged out a home victory 3-2 (26-23)  to keep them alive in the running.

PML did not play

With PML not playing they are caught in the balance not knowing if they are in a relegation battle or going for top spot as if they lose to the games in hand below them they will be 66th but if they win both games they move 2nd by 1 point!

Division Five

Hadleigh struggling with their away form lost away to CIFC Mallards 5-0.  Castle point also win at home against title contenders Galleywood keeping themselves in the mix! New team SBC South are finding out what competitive bowls is like in their first season in the league and narrowly lost to Wickford at home 29-35. 3 days later 1st then played 2nd with Wickford coming out on top 3-2 against CIFC moving them both onto 26 points. and Wickford only winning by 9 shots!! Ramsden Wrens make sure Castle Point do not go top after they won convincingly 5-0 at home moving them 1 point behind them. The last match of the round was the battle at the bottom with SBC South having the chance to move off the bottom, but do not have a great away record and lost to Hadleigh Silver 5-0 giving Hadleigh some breathing space and the chance to look forward!

Ramsden and Galleywood both have a game in hand against each other, both on 21 point and both could move up level with 1st and 2nd on 26 points! this league is the tightest of them all and five teams still have a great chance of winning the title!!
